A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT OR CONTRACTS WITH THE SUCCESSFUL
BIDDER FOR THE INCREASE OF THE ELECTRICAL POWER, THE
AIR CONDITIONING, AND THE INSTALLATION OF A RAISED FLOOR
IN THE EXISTING POLICE DEPARTMENT COMPUTER ROOKS;
ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $11,000 FROM THE "CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT FUND - UNALLOCATED FUNDS" ACCOUNT TO COVER
THE COST OF THIS WORK.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami has purchased two computers for the
modernization of the information systems in the Police Department; :and
WHEREAS, the first computer will be delivered to the Police Depart-
ment on or about February 1, 1975, for testing and then operationa7.iine; and
WHEREAS, it will be necessary to modify the present computer room
in the Police Department to meet the requirements of this now computer by
increasing the electrical power supply, increasing the air conditioning
capacity, and installing a raised floor; and
WHEREAS, time is of the essence because of the February 1, 1975
delivery date; and
WHIEREAS, it is believed to be in the best interest of the City if
this contract may be awarded to different contractors; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the account entitled
"Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated Funds";
NOW, THEREFORE, .BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MLIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Ci::y Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to execute a contract, or contracts, with the successful bidder,
or bidders, for the installation of the increased electrical power, increased
air conditioning, and installation of a raised floor in the existing Police
Department Computer Room.
Section 2. That the amount of $11,000 be, and it is hereby, allocated
from the account entitled "Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated Fund.:,".
