A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR
OF FINANCE TO PAY TO STEVE AULETA, A
MINOR BY AND THROUGH HIS FATHER, ALFRED
AULETA, WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF LIABIL-
ITY, THE SUM OP $1750.00 IN FULL AND
COMPLETE SETTLEMENT OF HIS CLAIM AGAINST
THE CITY OF MIAMI FOR ALLEGED PERSONAL
INJURIES SUSTAINED BY HIM, UPON THE
EXECUTION OF A RELEASE RELEASING THE
CITY OF MIAMI FROM ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS.
WHEREAS, the Plaintiff, Steve Auleta, a Minor by and through
his father, Alfred Auleta, filed an action against the City of
Miami in the Circuit Court of Dade County, bearing Number 72-15420,
alleging that he was brutally beaten by policemen on or about
December 9, 1971; and
WHEREAS, this claim has been investigated by the Office of
the City Attorney and said office recommends that this claim be
settled for the sum of $1750.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and he is
hereby authorized to pay to Steve Auleta, a Minor by and through
his father, Alfred Auleta, without the admission of liability,
the sum of $1750.00 in full and complete settlement of his claim
against the City of Miami for alleged personal injuries sustained
by him, upon the execution of a release releasing the City of Miami
from all claims and demands.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21 day of NOVEMBER , 1974.
