RESOLUTION NO. 74-1291
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER AND THE CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH KEITH W. MATTISON TO PROVIDE
STRATEGIC PLANNING CONSULTANT SERVICES TO THE
CITY OF MIAMI POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR A TWELVE
MONTH PERIOD BEGINNING. DECMEBER 1, 1974
AND ENDING NOVEMBER 30, 19/5 ,.FOR A FEE
OF $26,000.00 PROVIDED THAT THE CITY MANAGER
DETERMINES THAT FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS
PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, a Strategic Planning Office, as described
in the Stanford Research Institute's Miami Modern Police Depart-
ment Working Papers, April 1973, is to be created in the City of
Miami Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Phase I of the Strategic Planning Office re-
quires the professional services of a Strategic Planning Consultant;
and
WHEREAS, Keith W. Mattison is possessed of the requisite
managerial and strategic planning skills to provide said profes-
sional services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager and the City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Keith W.
Mattison, to provide Strategic Planning Consultant services to
the City of Miami Police Department, for a twelve (12) month
period, beginning DECEMBER 1, 1974 , and ending NOVEMBER 30, 1975 ,
for a fee of Twenty-six Thousand ($26,000.00) Dollars, provided
however. that the City Manager shall first have determined that
funds are available for this purpose.
