RESOLUTION NO. 74-1277
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 011E (1) YEA*' EXTENSION
OF EMPLOYMENT BEYOND THE MANDATORY RETIREMENT
AGE OP SEVENTY (70) YEARS FOR WILLIAM NAJJAR,
CUSTODIAN I, DEPARTMENT OP PUBLIC PROPERTIES
FROM SEPTEMBER 25, 1974 TO SEPTEMBER 25 1975,
WITH THE PROVISION THAT IN THE EVENT OF A ROLL-
BACK OR LAYOFF', MR. NAJJAR, RATHER THAN A
JUNIOR EMPLOYEE, WOULD BE AFFECTED.
WHEREAS, the Executive Secretary, Civil Service Board,
approved a one (1) year's extension beyond the mandatory retire-
ment age of seventy (70) for WILLIAM NAJJAR, Custodian I, Depart-
ment of Public Properties; atdits meeting of November 5, 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City Physician has determined that the
physical condition of said William Najjar is satisfactory for
continued employment; and
WHEREAS, the Civil Service Board has unanimously
recommended the approval of employment past the age of seventy (70)
for Mr. Najjar;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A one (1) year extension of employment past the
age, of4Lseueat; (7O) i yeah for WILLIAM NAJJAR, Custodian I, Department
of Public Properties, effective September 25, 1974 to September 25,
1975, is hereby approved, with the provision that in the event of
a rollback or layoff, Mr. Najjar, rather than a junior employee,
would be affected.
