RESOLUTION NO. 74-127 4
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE FIRMS OF HARRY, OPPENHEIMER,
ROSS & ASSOCIATES; GREENLEAF-TELESCA;
AND CONNELL ASSOCIATES, INCORPORATED, IN THE ORDER
OF PREFERENCE, AS THE THREE CONSULTANTS RECOM-
MENDED TO THE CITY MANAGER FOR NEGOTIATION OF A
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT SERVICES
FOR CONVERTING THE COCONUT GROVE INCINERATOR
PROPERTY INTO A PARK FACILITY.
WHEREAS, twenty-four firms responded to invitations to submit
information concerning availability for providing professional design services
for converting the Coconut Grove incinerator property into a park facility; and
WHEREAS, criteria was established and these firms were rated
according to professional capability, landscape architectural experience,
organization, citizen participation techniques, and quality of design examples;
and
WHEREAS, the City's Competitive Selection Committee for this
project intervievcted the eight firms receiving the highest rating to review
their qualifications; and
WHEREAS, after presentations by the interested firms, the Competitive
Selection Committee selected three (3) consultants in order of preference to
negotiate a contract for professional services for converting the Coconut
Grove Incinerator property into a park facility:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the firms of Harry, Oppenheimer, Ross and
Associates;
Greenleaf-Telesca;and Connell Associates, Incorporated, be, and they are
hereby, selected in the order of preference, as the three (3) consultants
recommended to the City Manager for negotiation of a contract for professional
services for converting the Coconut Grove incinerator property into a park
facility.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21 day of NOVEMBER , 1974.
