A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH MORTY FREEDMAN
FOR CONSULTING SERVICES TO THE CITY OF MIAMI
FOR THE 1975 CITY OF MIAMI IN.s'ERNATIONAL FOLK
FESTIVAL; ESTABLISHING A FEE OF $6,000 FOR SAID
SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING THIS AMOUNT TO BE PAID
FROM THE. SPECIAL MILLAGE FUND, PUBLICITY AND
TOURISM, PROVIDED BY APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE
NO. 8316.
WHEREAS, the International Folk Festival is in its
fourth year and has experienced tremendous growth under the
leadership of Mr. Morty Freedman; and
WHEREAS, to ensure the continued success of this event,
the City of Miami should enter into a formal agreement with
Mr. Freedman for providing the consulting services desired for
properly coordinating this activity; and
WHEREAS, funds to cover the cost of these services have
been provided in the 1974-75 Appropriations Ordinance No. 8316;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager be, and is hereby,
authorized to enter into an agreement with Morty Freedman for
consulting services to the City of Miami for the 1975 City of
Miami International Folk Festival.
Section 2. That the fee for these services is hereby
established as $6,000.
Section 3. That the amount of $6,000 is hereby author-
ized to be paid from the Special Millage Fund, Publicity
Tourism, provided by Appropriations Ordinance No. 8316.
