RESOLUTION NO. 744 /2 442
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO INSTRUCT THE PROPER OFFICIALS OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI TO CONTACT THE DOMINICAN
REPUBLIC AND THE CITY OF BOGOTA, COLOMBIA
TO REQUEST ASSISTANCE FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI
IN ITS EFFORTS TO REPLENISH ITS COCONUT
PALM TREES WHICH ARE DYING BECAUSE OF THE
COCONUT PALM BLIGHT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized
and directed to instruct the proper officials of the City
of Miami to contact the Dominican Republic and the City of
Bogota, Colombia to request assistance for the City of Miami
in its efforts to replenish its coconut palm trees which
are dying becuase of the coconut palm blight.
