A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID OF MARKS BROTHERS
COMPANY IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $178,224 FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF NORTHERN DRAINAGE PROJECT
E-32; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $17,224 FROM THE
ACCOUNT ENTITLED "STOR"1 SEWER BOND FUNDS" TO
COVER THE ESTIMATED CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING
FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT Ole $17 , R ' . 40 TO COM

POSTAGE, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER T()
EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on October 25, 1974
for the construction of NORTHERN DRAINAGE PROJECT E-32; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $173,224 bid
of Marks Brothers Company is the lowest acceptable bid and
recommends that a Contract be awarded to said firm; and
WHEREAS, funds are available .for allocation from the
account entitled "Storm Sewer Bond Punds" for the estimated amount
of the Contract, for Project Expense: and for such items as Advert I' -
Testing Laboratories, Pont:igc , etc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the October 25, 1974 bid of Marks Brotherf;
Company in the estimated amount of $178,224 for the project entitled
NORTHERN DRAINAGE PROJECT E-32, namely Alternate Base Rid of the
Proposal, based on unit prices be, and the same is hereby, accepted
at the price stated therein.
Section '. That the amount: of $17R,:'?4 be, and it in hr r'.l.y
allocated from the account entitled "Storm Sewer Bond Fund" to
cover the estimated cost of the Contract.
Section 3. That the amount; of $17,R22.40 be, and it 1:
hereby, allocated from the aforesaid aeeount to cover the cost of
Project Expense which includes engineering, surveys and inspection
work performed by City Forces.
Section 4.'T'hat they amount of $3,564.60 be, and 1t is hereby,
allocated from the ,aforeaa Id account to cover the cost of such items
as Advertising, Testing Laboratories, Postage, et•e.
