A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED
PROM MOTOROLA COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS,
INC. FOR FURNISHING BATTERY CHARGERS AND
BATTERIES FOR USE BY THE MIAMI POLICE DEPART-
MENT, COMMUNICATIONS DIVISION, AT A COST OF
$9,032.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS FOR THIS PURCHASE
FROM THE COMMUNICATIONS IMPROVEMENT GRANT
NO. 73-21-24; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT TO ISSUE A
PURCHASE ORDER FOR SAME AFTER DETERMING THAT
FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received September 23, 1974 for furnishing battery chargers
and batteries for use by the Miami Police Department, Com-
munications Division; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to eighteen (18)
potential suppliers and one (1) bid was received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the award be made
to MOTOROLA COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS, INC. for furnish-
ing battery chargers and batteries for use by the Miami
Police Department, Communications Division, at a cost of
$9,032.00, as the most advantageous bid to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid of MOTOROLA COMMUNICATIONS AND
ELECTRONICS, INC. for furnishing battery chargers and
batteries for use by the Miami Police Department, Communica-
tions Division, at a cost of $9,032.00 be, and is hereby,
accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager be, and is hereby, author-
ized to instruct the Purchasing Department to place a Pur-
chase Order for same, after determining that funds budgeted
