WHEREAS, the tarpaulin ft>r. the. polyLtiri" oovcr

'not adequately maintain playable field conditions in the
event of inclement weather: and
WHEREAS, the cost of the.replacemeht of the
tarpaulin was not projected by the Department of Public,
Properties and was not included in the 1974-75 Appropriationb
Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION

Section 1. 'The amount of $10,365 .00 be, and'is
hereby, appropriated fr.onl the fund balance. of the Orange
Bowl Stadium for the purpose of replacing tarpaulin for the
polyturf cover system at the Orange Bowl.
Section 2 All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances,
insofar as they arc in conflict with the provisions of this
Ordinance, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to
be an emergency measure on the ground, of urgent public need
for the preservation of peace health, safety and property
in the City of Miami
Section 4. The requirement of reading this
ordinance on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by
a vote of not leers than four -.fifths of The Members of the
Commission,

SYSTEM AT THE ORANGE BOWL.
WHEREAS the tarpaulin for the poltttirf cover
system at the Orange Bowl has deteriorated rapidly and will
not adequately maintain playable field conditions in the
event of inclement weather;. and
WHEREAS, the cost of the replacement, of the
tarpaulin was not projected by the Department of Public
Properties and was not included in the 1974-75 Appropriationb
Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
