WHEREAS, the Planning Advisory Board, ar it, meet-
ing of July 3, 1.974, following an -advertised hearing adopted
Resolution No. PA13 29-74, by a seven to zero vote recommend-
ing an amendment to Article X:(III 7 Off -Street Parking and
Loading, of the City of"M ami Zoning Ordinance No. 6871,
as hereinafter sot forth; and
WHEREAS, the Cc'mmission deems, it advisable and in
the best interest of the City of Miami and its inhabitants
to.amendsaid ordinance as hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THERL FORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION.
OF. THE CITY OF MIAt4I, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 6871, Article XXIII -
Off -Street Parking and Loading, Section 2, Subsection (2)(c)
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
) Parallel parking: Nine (9) feet
in width and twenty -•five (25) feat _.
in length except that fifteen (15)
percent of the spaces may be seven
and one-half . (71) feet in width
and twenty-one (21) feet in length,
and shall be clearly designated for.

ITY PROVISION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE

any property line. The aforemention-
ed areas of separation for the
driveway shall be appropriately
landscaped and-preteeted-free

Where it crosses the base building
line, a driveway shall be a minimum
of five (5) feet from any side
property line and a minimum of nine (9)
feet in width. When parking spaces
are located within the first twenty (20)
feet of the front yard, as measured from
the base building line and laid
out approximately parallel with the
base building line, a driveway that
also, serves as access aisle shall

Section 5. All ordinances, Code sections, or parts
thereof in conflict herewith, insofar as they are in conflict,
are hereby repealed.
Section 6. If any section, sentence, clause,
phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held
or declared to be unconstitutional, inoperative, or void,
such holding, or invalidity shall not affect the remaining
portions of this ordinance; and it shall be construed to
have been the intent of the Commission of the Commission
of the City of Miami to pass this ordinance without such
unconstitutional, invalid, or inoperative part therein; and the
remainder of this ordinance, after the exclusion of such part
or parts shall be deemed and held to be valid as if such parts
had not been included therein.
Section 7. This ordinance shall become effective
on the 23 day of NOVEMBER , 1974.
