A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 74-1146,
ACCEPTING THE BID OF ADH, INC. FOR CONSTRUC-
TION OF THE MIAMI MODERN POLICE HEADQUARTERS...-
1974 BY DELETING THEREFROM ADDITIONAL ALTER-
NATE ITEM NUMBER 2 OF BASE BID NO. 1, THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A SECURITY WALL, AND AMENDING
THE AMOUNT OF THE TOTAL BID FROM $5,518,600
TO A TOTAL OF $5,440,600, BY SUBTRACTING FROM
THE INITIAL AMOUNT $78,000, THE BID PRICE FOR
THE DELETED ITEM; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT ON BTHALF
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI MODERN POLICE HEADQUARTERS--
1974.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has directed the City
Manager to begin the process preliminary to entering into a
contract for a parking Garage and site improvements at the
MIAMI MODERN POLICE HEADQUARTERS; and
WHEREAS, construction of the parking Garage will
require a relocation of the security wall as presently designed,
and designated as additional alternate item No. 2 of the Base
Bid for construction of the Police Headquarters Building; and
WHEREAS, such security wall is more properly part of
the Parking Garage and site improvement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Resolution No. 74-1146, passed and
adopted on October 10, 1974 be, and is hereby, amended as
follows:
That the bid of ADH, Inc. received October 7, 1974
for the Miami Modern Police Headquarters--1974, namely Items
1 and 2 of the Base Bid and additive alternate items 1, 27
3, 4, 6 and 7 of Base Bid No. 1 of Proposal, based on lump
sum bid, at a total estimated cost of 667418760g $5,440,600
be, and the same is hereby accepted.

be, and it is hereby, programmed from the Polide Headquarters
and Crime Prevention Bond Fund Account and special reserve
fund established by Resolution No. 74.6978 to cover the cost
of the project entitled Miami Modern Police Headquarters--1974.
Section 3. That the additional amount of $55,000
to cover the cost of incidental expense be, and the same is,
hereby programmed from the account entitled Police Headquarters
and Crime Prevention Bond Fund and special reserve fund
established by Resolution No. 74-978.
Section 4. That the additional amount of $82,779 to
cover the cost of art in public buildings requirements be, and
the same is hereby, programmed from the account entitled Police
Headquarters and Crime Prevention Bond Fund and special
reserve fund established by Resolution No. 74-978.
Section 5. That the City Manager be, and he is
hereby, authorized and directed to enter into a contract in
behalf of the City of Miami for Miami Modern Police Head-
quarters--1974.
