IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,463.00, TOTALLING $7,813.23 FOR FURNISHING VARIOUS FERTILIZERS AND HERBICIDES FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS AFTER FIRST DETERMING THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE. WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing various fertilizers and herbicides for use by the Department of Parks and Recreation to be used on the Miami Springs and Melreese Golf Courses; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the award of bid be made as follows as being the most advantageous to the City: Bidder Description Cost Atlantic Fertilizer 8-4-6 mixture and $ 4,635.20 7-4-7 mixture 458.28 Kimcar 14-14-14 mixture 19.25 Woodbury Chemical AMA + 2 Herbicide 1,237.50 Jack Brennan and Co. tote 1,463.00 Total $ 7,813.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Bids received for furnishing various fertilizers and herbicides for use by the Department of Parks and Recreation are hereby awarded to Atlantic Fertilizer in the amount of $5,093.48; Kimcar in the amount of $19.25; Woodbury Chemical in the amount of $1,237.50, and Jack Brennan "DOCUMENT INDEX ITEM NO. '18 CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF OCT . 4 RESOLUTION NO..2E:42°0 REMARKS:. and Co. in Oe amount of $1,463.00, totalling $7 , 813.23. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Department to issue Purchase Orders for this material after first determining that funds budgeted for this purpose areaavailable.
