FOR FURNISHING NINETY (90) HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM VAPOR STREET LIGHT LUMINARIES FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC PROPERTIES AT A TOTAL COST OF $12,060.00; AUTHORIZING SAID INSTALLATION BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC PROPERTIES' PERSONNEL; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM REVENUE SHARING FUNDS; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER, AFTER FIRST HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received August 12, 1974 for furnishing ninety (90) high pressure sodium vapor street light luminaries for use by the Department of Public Properties; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to fourteen (14) potential suppliers and four (4) bids were received; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC SUPPLY CO. which was the most advantageous bid to the city, be accepted at a total cost of $12,060.00; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The bid received on August 12, 1974 from WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC SUPPLY CO. for furnishing ninety (90) high pressure sodium vapor street light luminaries for use by the Department of Public Properties be, and is hereby, accepted at a total cost of $12,060.00. Section 2. Installation of said street light luminaries by the Department of Public Properties personnel be, and is hereby, authorized.
