RESOLUTION NO. 74-1192
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR
OF FINANCE TO PAY TO HAROLD LOKOS,
WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF LIABILITY,
THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($5,000.00) IN FULL AND COMPLETE
SETTLEMENT OF HIS CLAIM AGAINST THE
CITY OF MIAMI FOR MONEYS DUE HIM AS
A RESULT OF IMPROPER CLASSIFICATION
FOR PAYROLL PURPOSES UPON THE EXE-
CUTION OF A RELEASE RELEASING THE
CITY OF MIAMI FROM ALL CLAIMS AND DE-
MANDS.
WHEREAS, the Plaintiff, Harold Lokos, filed an action
against the City of Miami in the Circuit Court, Dade County,
Florida, bearing Case No. 73-6116, alleging that he was due
moneys as a result of improper classification for payroll
purposes; and
WHEREAS, this claim has been investigated by the Office
of the City Attorney and said Office recommends that this
claim be settled for the sum of $5,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and• he is
hereby directed to pay to Harold Lokos, without the admission
of liability, the sum of $5,000.00 in full and complete settle-
ment of his claim against the City of Miami for moneys due him
as a result of improper classification for payroll purposes,
upon the execution of a release releasing the City of Miami
from all claims and demands.
