A RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE t1) YEAR
EXTENSION OF EMPLOYMENT PAST THE AGE OF
SEVENTY (70) FOR WILTON P. SPENCER, GOLF
COURSE STARTER, PARKS AND RECREATION DE-
PARTMENT, EFFECTIVE FROM NOVEMBER 10, 1974
TO NOVEMBER 10, 1975, WITH THE PROVISION
THAT IN THE EVENT Off' A ROLLBACK OR LAYOFF,
MR. SPENCER, RATHER THAN A JUNIOR EMPLOYEE,
WOULD BE AFFECTED.

WHEREAS, the Executive Secretary, Civil Service
Board, at its meeting of September 24, 1974, recommended a
one (1) year's extension beyond the mandatory retirement
age of 70 years for WILTON P. SPENCER, Golf Course Starter,
Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Physician has determined that the
physical condition of said WILTON P. SPENCER is satisfactory
for continued employment; and
WHEREAS, the Civil Service Board has unanimously
recommended the approval of employment past the age of
seventy (70) for said WILTON P. SPENCER for an additional
one (1) year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A one (1) year extension of employment
past the age of seventy (70) for WILTON P. SPENCER, Golf
Course Starter, Parks and Recreation Department, effective
November 10, 1974 to November 10, 1975 be, and is hereby,
approved, with the provision that in the event of a rollback
or layoff, Mr. Spencer, rather than a junior employee, would
be affected.
