A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING TH
CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A FEDERAL GRANT r 4,
APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE,
LAW ENFORCEMENT ADMINIS'RATION, TO INITIATE
A PROJECT ENTITLED "COMMUNITY EVALUATION
OF POLICE PROGRAM EFFECTIVENESS" AND
FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT THE GRANT AND EXECUTE CONTRACTS
AND AGREEMENTS NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT
THE PROJECT IN ANTICIPATION OF THIS PROGRAM.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
submit a Federal Grant Application to the Department of Justice, Law Enforce-
ment Administration, to initiate a project entitled "COMMUNITY EVALUATION
OF POLICE PROGRAM EFFECTIVENESS".
Section 2. That the City Manager is further authorized and directed to
accept the grant and execute contracts and agreements necessary to implement
the project in anticipation of approval of this program.
