A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A FEDERAL GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE,
LAW ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION, TO INITIATE
A PROJECT ENTITLED " STRATEGIC TARGET
ORIENTED PROJECT (S. T. O. P. )" AND FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE
GRANT AND EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND AGREEMENTS
NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE PROJECT IN
ANTICIPATION OF THIS PROGRAM.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
submit a Federal Grant Application to the Department of Justice, Lap"v Enforce-
ment Administration, to initiate a project entitled "STRATEGIC TARGET
ORIENTED PROJECT (S. T. O. P. )".
Section 2. That the City Manager is further authorized and directed to
accept the grant and execute contracts and agreements necessary to implement
the project in anticipation of approval of this program.
