A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ADVERTISE PUBLICLY FOR A CONSULTANT
FIRM TO DESIGN A MINI -PARK FOR THE
PROPERTY AT 46 WEST FL.AGLER STREET; TO
SUBSEQUENTLY REVIEW AND QUALIFY LAND-
SCAPE ARCHITECTURAL FIRMS, AND TO MAKE
RECOMMENDATIONS BASED UPON SUBMITTED
QUALIFICATIONS
WHEREAS, the City Commission approved the develop-
ment of the property known as 46 West Flagler Street as a
Mini -Park in its Resolution No. 73-545, dated July 12, 1973;
and
WHEREAS, both the City Planning Department and
the Downtown Development Authority have submitted separate
reports on the proposed Mini -Park at 46 West Flagler Street;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami in its Parks for People
Bond Issue provided funds for the creation of Mini -Parks
in downtown Miami;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Administration is hereby directed
to advertise publicly for the selection of a landscape
architectural firm to design the Mini -Park.
Section 2. The Administration is further instructed
to review and qualify firms based upon those landscape
architectural firms that respond to the City's invitation,
and to make recommendations after evaluating the qualified
firms with final selection to be made by the City Commission
