A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE
FOR THE USE OF THE ORANGE BOWL MEMORIAL
STADIUM, ONE OR MORE TIMES, DURING THE YEARS
1975 THROUGH 1979, FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PROMOTING AND CONDUCTING A FOOTBALL GAME
KNOWN AS THE AFC-NFC PRO BOWL GAME; A FOOTBALL
GAME KNOWN AS THE AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME; AND
A FOOTBALL GAME KNOWN AS THE AFC DIVISIONAL
PLAYOFF GAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami desires to provide the Orange
Bowl Memorial Stadium for use to the National Football League,
for the purpose of conducting post -season football games; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami desires to advise the National
Football League of the availability of the Orange Bowl Memorial
Stadium for the purpose of conducting such post -season football
games; and
WHEREAS, the National Football League desires to conduct
one or more of the aforesaid football games in the Orange Bowl
Memorial Stadium during the years 1975 through 1979;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to negotiate and enter into an agreement with the
National Football League for the use of the Orange Bowl Memorial
Stadium, one or more times, during the years 1975 through 1979,
for the purpose of promoting and conducting a football game
known as the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl Game; a football game known as
the AFC Championship Game; and a football game known as the
"CO9UMENT INDEX.
