RESOLUTION NO. 74`.145
A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $1,500,000 FROM THE
POLICE HEADQUARTERS AND CRIME PREVENTION
FACILITIES BONDS.AND PROGRAMMING $4,156,379
FROM THE RESERVE ESTABLISHED BY RESOLUTION
NO. 74-978 SUPPLEMENTING EXISTING FUNDS IN
THE POLICE HEADQUARTERS AND CRIME PREVENTION
BOND FUND FOR THE AWARDING OF A CONTRACT FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE MIAMI MODERN POLICE
HEADQUARTERS BUILDING.
WHEREAS, in anticipation of awarding a construction
contract for the Miami Modern Police Headquarters Facility, and
due to an unfavorable bond market, a reserve in the amount of
$5,500,000 from the Capital Improvement Funds and Revenue Shar-
ing Funds was established to supplement existing funds in the
Police Headquarters and Crime Prevention Bond Fund; and
WHEREAS, construction bids have been received for said
project and it is now necessary to allocate funds for the award
of a contract for the construction of this facility;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That $1,500,000 is hereby allocated from
the Police Headquarters and Crime Prevention Facilities Bonds
for the award of a construction contract for the Miami Modern
Police Headquarters Building.
Section 2. That $4,156,379 from the reserve established
by Resolution No. 74-978 to supplement existing funds in the Police
Headquarters and Crime Prevention Bond Fund is hereby programmed
for the awarding of
a contract for the construction of the
Miami Modern Police Headquarters Building.

is hereby, programmed from the Police Headquarters and Crime
Prevention•Bond Fund account and special reserve fund estab-
lished by Resolution No. 74-978 to cover the cost of the
project entitled Miami Modern Police Headquarters--1974.
Section 3. That the additional amount of $55,000
to cover the cost of incidental expense be and the same is
hereby programmed from the account entitled Police Headquarters
and Crime Prevention Bond Fund and special reserve fund estab-
lished by Resolution No. 74-978.
Section 4. That the additional amount of $82,779 to cover
the;cost of art in public buildings requirements be and the same is
hereby programmed from the account entitled Police Headquarters
and Crime Prevention Bond Fund and special reserve fund estab-
lished by Resolution No. 74-978.
Section 5. That the City Manager be, and he is
hereby, authorized and directed to enter into a contract in
behalf of the City of Miami for Miami Modern Police Headquarters--
1974.
