A RESOLUTION RATIFYING ANTS CONFIRMING THE
ACTION TAKEN BY THE CITY MANAGER IN AWARDING
BIDS roil. THE PURCHASE Or FURNITURE AND TOYS
FOR THE MOORE, EATON AND SHENANDOAH PARK
DAY CARE CENTERS IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF
$12,932.91.
WHEREAS, bids for furnishing furniture and toys for the
City's Day Care Centers were opened on September 18, 1974, and could not
be properly tabulated and evaluated so that a recommendation for an award
could be scheduled for the September 27, 1974 City Commission meeting; and
WHEREAS, to avoid further delay in acquiring this equipment
necessary for the efficient operation of the Centers, as an emergency measure
the City Manager authorized the acceptance of these bids and awarding purchase
orders to those bidders supplying the lowest bids meeting the specifications
for the equipment to be furnished;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the action taken by the City Manager in awarding
bids to the following firms for the items in the amounts shown is hereby ratified
and confirmed:
