A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID OF BISCAYNE
CONSTRUCTION, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF
$368,387 FOR THE ORANGE BOWL STADIUM
RESTROOMS REMODELING - 1974; ALLOCATING
THE AMOUNT OF $368,387 FROM THE ACCOUNT
ENTITLED "CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND -
UNALLOCATED FUNDS" TO COVER THE CONTRACT
COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE
AMOUNT OF $36,838.70 TO COVER THE COST OF
PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID
ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $7,367.30 TO COVER
SUCH ITEMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING
LABORATORIES AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH SAID FIRM.

WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on September 24,
1974 for the ORANGE BOWL STADIUM - RESTROOMS REMODELING -
1974; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the
$368,387 bid of BISCAYNE CONSTRUCTION, INC. is the lowest
responsive bid and recommends that a Contract be awarded to
said firm; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from
the account entitled "Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated
Funds" for the amount of the Contract, for project expense;
and for such items as advertising, testing laboratories and
postage;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The September 24, 1974 bid of BISCAYNE
CONSTRUCTION, INC. in the amount of $368,387 for the project
entitled ORANGE BOWL STADIUM - RESTROOMS REMODELING - 1974,
namely Base Bid of Proposal, based on lump sum bid be, and the
same is hereby, accepted at the price stated therein.
Section 2. The amount of $368,387 be, and it
is hereby, allocated from the account entitled "Capital
Improvement Fund Unallocated Funds" to cover the amount
of the Contract.
Section 3. The amount of $36,838.70 be, and it
hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the
cost of Project Expense which includes engineering, surveys
and inspection work performed by City Forces.
Section 4. The amount of $7,367.30 be, and it is
hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the
cost of such items as advertising, testing laboratories and
postage.
Section 5. The City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to enter into a Contract on behalf of The City of
Miami with Biscayne Construction, Inc. for the ORANGE BOWL
STADIUM - RESTROOMS REMODELING - 1974.
