RESOLUTION NO. 74-11.36
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID OF C. A.
DAVIB, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $85,110
?OR PARKS TENNIS COURTS - RESURFACING
& REPLACEMENT - 1974, NAMELY ITEMS 1, 3
AND 4 OF PROPOSAL; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT
OF $85,110 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED
"PUBLIC PARKS & RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
BOND FUND" TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST;
ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT
OF $8511 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT
EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE
AMOUNT OF $1702 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH
ITEMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES
AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID
FIRM.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on September 24,.
1974 for PARKS TENNIS COURTS - RESURFACING & REPLACEMENT -
1974; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the
$85,110 bid of C. A. Davis, Inc. is the lowest responsive
bid and recommends that a contract be awarded to said
firm; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from
the account entitled "Public Parks & Recreational Facilities
Bond Fund" for the amount of the Contract for project
expense; and for such items as advertising, testing labor-
atories and postage;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The September 24, 1974 bid of C. A.
Davis, Inc. in the amount of $85,110 for the project entitled
PARKS TENNIS COURTS - RESURFACING & REPLACEMENT - 1974,
namely Items 1, 3 and 4 of Proposal, based on lump sum bid
be, and the same is hereby, accepted at the
therein, as attached hereto.

Section 2. The amount of $85,110 be, and it is
hereby allocated from the account entitled "Public Parks &
Recreational Facilities Bond Fund" to cover the cost of the
Contract.
Section 3. The amount of $8511 be, and it is
hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the
cost of project expense which includes engineering, surveys
and inspection work performed by City Forces.
