A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED FROM
BUYAMA AIR CONDITIONING CO., INC. FOR FURNISH-
ING ONE (1) 15-TON AIR CONDITIONER FOR USE BY
THE DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING AT A COST OF
$3,263.00: AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT TO ISSUE A
PURCHASE ORDER FOR SAME AFTER FIRST HAVING
DETERMINED THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THIS PURPOSE
ARE AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received August 22, 1974 for furnishing one (1) 15-ton Air
Conditioner for use by the Department of Building; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty-five (25)
potential suppliers and five (5) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of
BUYAMA AIR CONDITIONING CO., INC. be accepted as the lowest
responsive bid, at a cost of $3,263.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid of BUYAMA AIR CONDITIONING CO.,
INC. for furnishing one (1) 15-ton Air Conditioner for use
by the Department of Building at a cost of $3,263.00 be and
it is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to instruct the Purchasing Department to issue
a purchase order for same after first having determined that
funds budgeted for this purpose are available.
