A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED FROM
MIAMI FIRE EQUIPMENT COMPANY FOR SERVICING
PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS, AS REQUIRED,
FOR THE PERIOD OCTOBER 1, 1974 THROUGH SEP-
TEMBER 30, 1975 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DEPART-
MENT TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR SAME AFTER
FIRST HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS BUDGETED
FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids
were received September 5, 1974 for servicing portable fire
extinguishers, as required, for the period October 1, 1974
through September 30, 1975; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to seven (7)
potential suppliers and three (3) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid
of MIAMI FIRE EQUIPMENT COMPANY be accepted as it is the most
advantageous bid to the City in accordance with the list of
prices attached.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. the bid of MIAMI FIRE EQUIPMENT COMPANY
for servicing portable fire extinguishers, as required, for
the period October 1, 1974 through September 30, 1975 be,
and is hereby, accepted in accordance with the list of prices
incorporated in its bid attached.

Section 2. The City Manager be, and is hereby,
authorized to instruct the Purchasing Department to issue
Purchase Orders for same after first having determined that
funds budgeted for this purpose are available.
