FOR ASSISTANCE IN CONNECTION WITH THE COCONUT GROVE ARTS FESTIVAL ON FEBRUARY 14, 15 AND 16, 1975 BY MAKING McFARLANE ROAD, FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH MAIN HIGHWAY AND GRAND AVENUE TO THE FOOT OF BISCAYNE BAY A PEDESTRIAN MALL DURING THE THREE (3) DAYS OF THE FESTIVAL AND CLOSING SOUTH BAYSHORE DRIVE NORTH TO MARY STREET TO CREATE A CONTIGUOUS "L" SHAPE FOR EASY ADMINISTRATION; GRANTING PERMISSION FOR THE USE OF COCONUT GROVE PEACOCK PARK; AND AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO MAKE AVAILABLE TO THE COCONUT GROVE ASSOCIATION, INC. A $1,000 "PURCHASE AWARD" FOR ART WORK; ALLOCATING SAID $1,000 FROM THE POLICE HEAD- QUARTERS AND CRIME PREVENTION °FACILITIES FUND. WHEREAS, THE COCONUT GROVE ASSOCIATION, INC. has requested assistance in connection with the COCONUT GROVE ARTS FESTIVAL in 1975; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. McFarlane Road, from its intersection with Main Highway and Grand Avenue to the foot of Biscayne Bay be, and the same is hereby, made a pedestrian mall during the three (3) days of the COCONUT GROVE ARTS FESTIVAL on February 14, 15 and 16, 1975; and the east two (2) lanes of South Bayshore Drive north to Mary Street be, and the same are hereby, closed in order to create a contiguous "L" shape for easy administration and the least impediment to traffic flow. Section 2. Permission for the use of Coconut Grove Peacock Park and use of the administration building be, and the same is hereby, granted. CITY SEP271974 Section 3. The proper officials of the City of Miami be, and are hereby, authorized to make available to the COCONUT GROVE ASSOCIATION, INC., a $1,000 "Purchase Award" for art work, allocating said $1,000 from the POLICE HEADQUARTERS AND CRIME PREVENTION FACILITIES FUND.
