A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID OF GOODWIN,
INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,013,295.50 FOR
GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT
SR-5374 C (centerline sewer) AND SR-5374 S
(sideline sewer) IN GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5374 C (centerline
sewer) AND SR-5374 S (sideline sewer);
ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $3,013,295..50 FROM
THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "SANITARY SEWER BOND
FUND" TO COVER THE CONTRACT: COSTf" ALLOCATING
FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF
$ 253,330 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE;
ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF
$58,266 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS
ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES, POSTAGE,
PRINTING AND BLUEPRINTING BY CITY FORCES OR
OUTSIDE VENDOR; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received September 12,
1974 for the construction of GLENROYRL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVE-
MENT SR-5374 C (centerline sewer) and SR-5374 S (sideline
sewer); and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $3,013,295.50
bid of Goodwin, Inc. is the most advantageous bid to the city
and recommends that a Contract be awarded to said firm; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from
the account entitled "Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund" for the amount
of the Contract for Project Expense, and for expense of such
items as advertising, testing laboratories, postage, printing
and blueprinting by City Forces;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORI DA:

Section 1. The September 12, 1974 bid of GoodWiL
Inc. in the amount of $3,013,295.50 for the project entitled
GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5374 C (centerline
sewer) in GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
SR-5374 C (centerline sewer) and SR-5374 S (sideline sewer),
namely Alternate Base Bid of Proposal, based on unit prices
be, and the same is hereby accepted at the price stated therein.
Section 2. The amount of $3,013,295.50 be, and it is
hereby, allocated from the account entitled "Sanitary Bond
Fund" to cover the cost of the Contract.
Section 3. The additional amount of $253,330 be, and
it is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the
cost of Project Expense which includes engineering, surveys,
and inspection work performed by City Forces.
Section 4. The additional amount of $58,266 be, and
it is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to cover
the cost of expenses which includes but is not limited to such
items as advertising, testing laboratories, postage, printing
and blueprinting by City Forces or outside vendor.
Section 5. The City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to enter into a Contract on behalf of The City of
Miami with Goodwin, Inc. for the construction of GLENROYAL
SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5374 C (centerline sewer) and
SR-5374 S (sideline sewer) in GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT SR-5374 C (centerline sewer) and SR-5374 S
(sideline sewer).
