A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXTEND THE AGREEMENT OF APRIL 5, 1974
BETWEEN DADE COUNTY AND THE CITY OF MIAMI
TO MARCH 31, 1975, EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1974,
PURSUANT TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE
EMERGENCY EMPLOYMENT ACT OF 1971; FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND SAID
AGREEMENT TO INCLUDE TWO (2) ADDITIONAL
POSITIONS EFFECTIVE AFTER SEPTEMBER 1, 1974,
SUBJECT TO THE TERMS OF THE AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the U. S. Department of Labor has extended funding
for the Emergency Employment Act of 1971 to be made available to the
City of Miami through March 31, 1975; and
WHEREAS, the Manpower Administration Agency of Metro-
politan Dade County has requested an extension of the agreement of
April 5, '1974; and
WHEREAS, said agency has further requested an increase of
two (2) positions under the agreement; and
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Dade County will assume responsi-
bility for final placement of all participants under the agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
extend the agreement of April 5, 1974 between Dade County and the City
of Miami to March 31, 1975, effective July 1, 1974, pursuant to the
implementation of the Emergency Employment Act of 1971.
Section 2. That the City Manager is further authorized to
amend said agreement to include two (2) additional positions effective
after September 1, 1974, subject to the farms of th�agreement
