RESOLUTION NO. 70,0047
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID OF GENERAL
TRADING CO. FOR FURNISHING LUBRICATION
EQUIPMENT FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF
PARKS AND RECREATION AT A COST OF $2,352.94;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT
THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT TO ISSUE PURCHASE
ORDERS AS REQUIRED; AND ALLOCATING FUNDS
FOR THIS PURPOSE FROM THE FEDERAL REVENUE
SHARING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids
were received July 31, 1974 for furnishing lubrication
equipment as required for use by the Department of Parks
and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to fourteen (14)
potential suppliers and two (2) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the
bid of GENERAL TRADING CO., which is the most advantageous
to the City, be accepted at a total cost of $2,352.94;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received July 31, 1974 for
furnishing lubrication equipment as required for use by the
Department of Parks and Recreation be, and is hereby
accepted from GENERAL TRADING CO. at a total cost of $2,352.94.
Section 2. The City Manager be and is hereby
authorized to instruct the Purchasing Division to issue
purchase orders as required; and allocating funds
