A RESOLUTION CON 'IRMtNG THE ACT/ON TAKEN
BY THE CITY MANAGER IN THE SUB,'vttSSION or A
STATE GRANT APPLICATION TO TH'.L1 DEPARTMENT
OF HEALTH AND REHABILITATION SERVICES TO
INITIATE A PROGRAM THAT WILL PROVIDE
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE HANDICAPPED
THROUGH THE CITY'S DEPARTMENT OF PARKS &
RECREATION, AIY'D FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE GRANT AND
EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND AGREEMENTS NECES-
SARY TO IMPLEMENT THE PROGRAM UPON
RECEIPT OF THE GRANT.
. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the action taken by the City Manager in the
submission of a State Grant Application to the Department of Health and
Rehabilitation Services to initiate a program that will provide recreational
activities for the handicapped through the City's Department of Parks &
Recreation is hereby confirmed.
Section 2. That the City Manager is further authorized to
accept the Grant and execute contracts and agr ..ements necessary to
implement the program upon receipt of the Grant.
