A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF OREN ROANOKE
CORPORATION FOR FURNISHING THREE (3) 1250
G.P.M. CUSTOM BUILT, TOP OF THE LINE MODEL
PUMPERS WITH 5MAN CANOPY CUSTOM CABS FOR USE
BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AT A TOTAL COST OP
$179,694.00; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
INSTRUCT THE PROPER OFFICIALS TO ALLOCATE
$179,694.00 FROM THE FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING
ACCOUNT FOR THIS PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received July 26, 1974 for furnishing four (4) 1250 G.P.M.
Custom Built, Top of the Lind Model Pumpers with 5-Man Canopy
Custom Cabs for use by the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to six ,) potential
suppliers and three (3) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the City
purchase only three (3) pumpers due to the lack of sufficient
funds in the Federal Revenue Sharing account from OREN ROANOKE
CORP. who submitted the most advantageous bid to the City, at
a total amount of $179,694.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid of OREN ROANOKE CORPORATION for
furnishing three (3) 1250 G.P.M. Custom Built, Top of the Line
Model Pumpers with 5-Man Canopy Custom Cabs for use by the
Fire Department is hereby accepted at a total cost or $179,694.00.
Section 2. The City Manager is h'..eby authorized to
instruct the proper City Officials to allocate the sum of
