RESOLUTION NO. "' 45
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ivnt PURCHASE OF
PERMANENT IMPROVED bECORATIONS FOR DOWN-
TOWN MIAMI DURING THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY
SEASON; FURTHER ALLOCATING THE SUM OF
$10,000 FROM THE PUBLICITY & TOURISM BUDGET
WHICH IS TO BE EXPENDED DURING THE NEXT
TWO YEARS.
WHEREAS, a meeting was held on July 12, 1974 with
representatives of the Downtown Miami Association, the City of
Miami, the Downtown Development Authority, the Greater Miami
Chamber of Commerce, et al, to review the appearance of down-
town Miami during the Christmas Holiday Season; and
WHEREAS, plans were formulated to purchase additional
decorations during the next two years to insure a distinctive
holiday look of its own for downtown Miami;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
instruct the proper officials to purchase permanent improved
decorations for downtown Miami during the Christmas Holiday Season.
Section 2. The sum of $10,000 is hereby allocated
from the Publicity & Tourism budget which is to be expended
during the next two years. �,�/
