A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID OF MARKS BROS.
COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OP $130,529.25 FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF S. W. 22 STREET HIGH-
WAY IMPROVEMENT H-4369 IN Se W. 22 STREET
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4369 FOR
BID ITEM A OF PROPOSAL; ALLOCATING THE
AMOUNT OF $130,529.25 FROM THE ACCOUNT
ENTITLED "HIGHWAY BOND FUND" TO COVER THE
CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT
THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF $4,052.93 TO COVER
THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING
FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF
$1,610.82 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS
AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES AND
POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on July 25, 1974
for the construction of S. W. 22 STREET HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
H-4369 in S. W. 22 STREET HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4369;
and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $130,529.25
bid of Marks Bros. Company for Bid Item A of the Proposal is
the lowest and best responsive bid and recommends that a contract
be awarded to said firm; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the
account entitled "Highway Bond Fund" for the amount of the
contract, for project expense; and for such items as advertising,
testing laboratories and postage;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:

Section 1. That the July 25, 1974 bid of Marks Bros.
Company in the amount of $130,529.25 for the project entitled
S. W. 22 STREET HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4369 in S. W. 22 STREET
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4369, namely Bid Item A of the
Proposal, based on unit prices, be and the same is hereby
accepted at the price stated therein.
Section 2. That the amount of $130,529.25 be and it
is hereby allocated from the account entitled riighway Bond Fund"
to cover the cost of the contract.
Section 3. That the additional amount of $4,052.93
from "Highway Bond Fund" be and the same is hereby allocated
to cover the cost of Project Expense which includes engineering
surveys and inspection work performed by City forces.
Section 4. That the additional amount of $1,610.82
from the "Highway Bond Fund" be and the same is hereby allocated
to cover the cost of such items as advertising, testing labora-
tories and postage.
Section 5. That the City Mangger is hereby authorized
to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami with
Marks Bros. Company for the construction of S. W. 22 STREET
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4369 in S. W. 22 STREET HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT H-4369.
