A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF UNITED
STATES FIDELITY AND GUARANTY COMPANY
THROUGH ITS LOCAL AGENT, COLEMAN--LEDBETTER-
BUCHANAN, INC., FOR FURNISHING OWNER -
LANDLORD -TENANT LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR
VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF
MIAMI FOR A THREE YEAR PERIOD BEGINNING
AUGUST 1, 1974 AND EXPIRING JULY 31, 1977.
1977 AT A COST OF $25,500.00, PAYABLE
ANNUALLY AT $8,500.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PROPER OFFICIALS
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM, AFTER
FIRST HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS BUDGETED
FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids
were received June 26, 1974 for furnishing Owner -Landlord -
Tenant Liability Insurance for various locations, as per
attached list; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to fifty-six (56)
agents and three (3) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid
received from United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company
through its local agent, Coleman -Ledbetter -Buchanan, Inc.,
which is the most advantageous to the city, be accepted at
a cost of $25,500.00, payable annually at $8,500.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received June 26, 1974 for
furnishing Owner -Landlord -Tenant Liability Insurance for
various locations throughout the City of Miami, as per attached
list, for a three year period beginning August 1, 1974 and
expiring July 31, 1977, is hereby accepted at a cost of
$25,500.00, payable annually at $8,500.00, from Coleman -Ledbetter -
Buchanan, Inc.

REMARKS.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized
to instruct the proper officials to execute a contract with
said firm after first having determined that funds budgeted
for this purpose are available.
