A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID OF GOODWIN, INC.,
IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $1,042,820 FOR SOUTH
PINEMOUNT SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5242 C
(centerline sewer) AND SR-5242 S (sideline sewer)
IN SOUTH PINEMOUNT SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT SR-5242 C (centerline sewer) AND SR-5242 S
(sideline sewer); ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $1,042,820
FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND"
TO COVER THE ESTIMATED CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING
FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF $82,282
TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING
FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF $17,856
TO COVER THE COST OF INCIDENTAL EXPENSE; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH SAID FIRM.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on July 11, 1974
for the construction of SOUTH PINEMOUNT SANITARY SEWER
IMPROVEMENT SR-5242 C (centerline sewer) and SR-5242 S (side-
line sewer), and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $1,042,820
bid of Goodwin, Inc. is the lowest responsive bid and recom-
mends that a contract be awarded to said firm, and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the
account entitled "Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund" for the estimated
amount of the contract, for project expense and for incidental
expense,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the July 11, 1974 bid of Goodwin, Inc.
in the estimated amount of $1,042,820 for the project entitled
SOUTH PINEMOUNT SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5242 C (Center-
line sewer) and SR-5242 S (sideline sewer) in SOUTH PINEMOUNT
SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5242 C (centerline

sewer) and SRC-5242 S (sideline Sewer), namely Item 1 through
69 Of Proposal, based on unit prices be, and the same is
hereby accepted at the price stated therein.
Section 2. That the amount of $1,042,820 be, and it
is hereby, allocated from the account entitled "Sanitary
Sewer Bond Fund" to cover the estimated cost of the Contract.
Section 3. That the additional amount of $82,282 be,
and it is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to
cover the cost of Project Expense which includes engineering,
surveys, and inspection work performed by City Forces.
Section 4. That the additional amount of $17,856 be,
and it is hereby, allocated from the aforesaid account to
cover the cost of Incidental Expense which includes such
items as advertising, testing laboratories, postage, printing
and blueprinting by City Forces or outside vendor.
Section 5. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to enter into a Contract on behalf of the City
of Miami with Goodwin, Inc. for the construction of SOUTH
PINEMOUNT SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5242 C (centerline
sewer) and SR-5242 S (sideline sewer) in SOUTH PINEMOUNT
SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5242 C (centerline
sewer) and SR-5242 S (sideline sewer).
