RESOLUTION No.47044 97
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF
FINANCE TO PAY TO KENNETH S. COOPER,
WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF LIABILITY, THE
SUM OF EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTY FOUR DOLLARS
($834.00) IN FULL AND COMPLETE SETTLEMENT
OF HIS COMPLAINT FOR DECLARATORY RELIEF
AGAINST THE CITY OF MIAMI, UPON THE
EXECUTION OF A RELEASE RELEASING THE
CITY FROM ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS.
WHEREAS, Kenneth S. Cooper's employment as a Police
Officer in the Department of Police, City of Miami, terminated on
December 29, 1972; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth S. Cooper, through his counsel, filed
an action for Declaratory Relief against the City of Miami in the
Circuit Court of Dade County, Case No. 73-11446; and
WHEREAS, in due consideration of all pertinent facts the
Plaintiff, through his counsel, and the office of the City Attorney
have agreed on a settlement of all matters in dispute; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney recommends this settlement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLOR IDA :
Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and he is
hereby authorized to pay to Kenneth S. Cooper, without the admission
of liability, the sum of eight hundred thirty four dollars ($834.00),
in full and complete settlement of his Complaint for Declaratory
