OF THE COST TI REOF AS'T'ASHION HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT H-4381'; AND ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF
$ 3 , 000 FROM THE Hi GHWA't BOND FUND FOR PRELIMINARY
EXPENSE.
WHEREAS, there has been a request for street improvements
and landscaping of the Fashion and Garment District; and
WHEREAS, the streets in this area have an irregular and
worn surface causing poor rideability, and heavy on -street parking
has deteriorated the side parkways and resulted in a drop off and
raveling along pavement edges;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A local Improvement described as FASHION
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4381 shall be made under Section 56 of the
Charter of the City of Miami as amended, located on the following
streets:
N.W. 22 Lane - from N.W. 2 Avenue to N.W. 5 Avenue
N.W. 23 Street - from N.W. 2 Avenue to N.W. 6 Avenue
N.W. 24 Street - from N.W. 2 Avenue to N.W. 5 Avenue
N.W. 25 Street - from N.W. 2 Avenue to N.W. 5 Avenue
N.W. 26 Street - from N.W. 2 Avenue to N.W. 5 Avenue
N.W. 27 Street - from N.W. 2 Avenue to N.W. 6 Avenue
N.W. 28 Street - from N.W. 2 Avenue to N.W. 6 Avenue
N.W. 3 Avenue - from N.W. 25 Street to N.W. 29 Street
Section 2. This improvement shall include the construc-
tion of pavement to a maximum 60 foot width by means of rebuilding
with 8 inch limerock base and reworking existing base and placing
a one inch asphaltic concrete surface course. Also clearing and
grading and removal of objectionable material, construction of
concrete curb and/or gutter, valley gutter and sidewalk, landscaping

and drainage facilities as described in the Standard City of
Miami Specifications for Public Works Projects.
Section 3. This improvement shall be designated in all
proceedings and assessments as FASHION HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4381
and the property against which special assessments shall be made
for a portion of the cost thereof, hereunder shall be designated
as FASHION HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4381.
Section 4. The sum of $3,000 shall be allocated from
the Highway Bond Fund for preliminary expenses.
