A RESOLUTION AtTPHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE A PROPOSED AMEND-
MENT TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
SAID AMENDMENT AS PROPOSED TO BE REFERRED
TO AS`CHARTER AMENDMENT NO. 6 FOR SUBMISSION
TO THE ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI IN THE
NOVEMBER 5, 1974 STATE OF FLORIDA AND DADE
COUNTY GENERAL ELECTION, FOR THE PURPOSE
OF INCREASING THE SALARIES OF THE COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, OTHER THAN THE MAYOR, TO
$15,000 PER YEAR, THE SALARY OF THE MAYOR TO
REMAIN AT $5,000 PER YEAR, THE INCREASE IN
SALARY TO BECOME EFFECTIVE BEGINNING
DECEMBER 1, 1974.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Attorney is hereby authorized
and directed to prepare a proposed amendment to the Charter of
the City of Miami, said amendment as proposed to be referred to
as Charter Amendment No. 6, for submission to the electors of
the City of Miami in the November 5, 1974 State of Florida and
Dade County General Election, for the purpose of increasing the
salaries of the Commissioners of the City of Miami, other than
the Mayor, to $15,000 per year, the salary of the Mayor to
remain at $5,000 per year, the increase in salary to become effec-
tive beginning December 1, 1974.
