RESOLUTION NO. 75 /V
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF E-SYSTEMS,
INC. FOR ?t1RNISHING A COMPUTER SYSTEM FOR
USE BY THE CITY OF MIAMI POLICE DEPARTMENT;
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM, AT A TOTAL
COST OF $893,740.00; AND INSTRUCTING THE
PURCHASING DEPARTMENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE
ORDER FOR SAME, FUNDS BEING PROVIDED FROM
THE POLICE BONDS FUNDS.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids
were received on May 15, 1974 for furnishing a computer system
for use by the City of Miami Police Department; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to thirty-six (36)
potential suppliers and nine (9) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid
of E-Systems, Inc. be accepted at a total cost of $893,740.00
since it is the most advantageous to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to enter into a contract with E-Systems, Inc. for
furnishing a computer system for use by the City of Miami
Police Department, at a total cost of $893,740.00.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized
to instruct the Purchasing Department to issue a Purchase Order
for same, funds being provided for this purpose from the
Police Bonds Funds.
