LOCATING $36,848.59 FROM THE HIGHWAY BOND FUND
AND $34,224.20 FROM THE STORM SEWER BOND FUND
TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE FOR SHENANDOAH
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - SECTION A - H-4362
(REBUILDING); ALLOCATING $18,411.85 FROM THE
HIGHWAY BOND FUND TO COVER THE COST OF PRO-

(REBUILDING) TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS
AS ADVERTISING, TESTING, LABORATORIES, POSTAGE,
ETC.; ALLOCATING THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF $2,682.68
FROM THE HIGHWAY BOND FUND FOR SHENANDOAH
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - SECTION B - H-4365
(REMACADAMIZING) TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH
ITEMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING, LABORATORIES,
POSTAGE, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAN-
AGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on June 13, 1974
for the construction of SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -
SECTION A - H-4362 (REBUILDING) in SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT - SECTION A - H-4362 (REBUILDING) and SHENANDOAH
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - SECTION B- H-4365 (REMACADAMIZING)

(REMACADAMIZING); and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $894,846.89
bid of Garcia Allen Construction Company., Inc. is the lowest
bid and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm;
and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from
the accounts entitled "Highway Bond Fund" and "Storm Sewer
Bond Fund" for the estimated amount of the contract, for
project expense; and for such items as advertising, testing,
laboratories, postage, etc.;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The June 13, 1974, bid of Garcia Allen
Construction Company, Inc. in the estimated amount of $894,846.89
for the SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - SECTION A - H-4362
(REBUILDING), namely Items 1 through 20 and 35 through 75
of proposal, based on unit prices; and for the SHENANDOAH
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - SECTION B - H-4365 (REMACADAMIZING),
namely items 21 through 34 of proposal, based on unit prices
be, and the same is hereby accepted at the prices stated
therein.
Section 2. The amount of $368,486.41 from the High-
way Bond Fund and $342,242.01 from the Storm Sewer Bond Fund
be, and it is hereby, allocated to cover the estimated cost
of the contract entitled SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -
SECTION A - H-4362 (REBUILDING); and allocating the amount
of $184,118.47 from the Highway Bond Fund to cover the es-
timated contract cost for SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -
SECTION B - H-4365 (REMACADAMIZING).

Section 3. The amount of $36,848.59 from the High.-
way Bond Fund and $340224.20 from the Storm Sewer Bond Fund
be, and it is hereby, allocated to cover the cost of project
expense for SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - SECTION A -
H-4362 (REBUILDING) and the amount of $18,411.85 from the
Highway Bond Fund to cover the cost of Project Expense for
SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - SECTION B - H-4365 (REMACAD-
AMIZING), which includes engineering, surveys, and inspection
work performed by City forces.
Section 4. The additional amount of $5,370 from the
Highway Bond Fund and $6,844.79 from the Storm Sewer Bond
Fund be, and it is hereby, allocated for SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT - SECTION A - H-4362 (REBUILDING) to cover the cost
of such items as advertising, testing, laboratories, postage,
etc. and the additional amount of $2,682.68 from the Highway
Bond Fund for SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - SECTION B -
H-4365 (REMACADAMIZING) to cover the cost of such items as
advertising, testing, laboratories, postage, etc.
Section 5. The City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City
of Miami with Garcia Alien Construction Company, Inc. for the
construction of SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - SECTION A -
H-4362 (REBUILDING) in SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT -
SECTION A - H-4362 (REBUILDING) and SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVE-
MENT - SECTION B - H-4365 (REMACADAMIZING) in SHENANDOAH HIGH-
WAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT - SECTION B - H-4365 (REMACADAMIZING).
