A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED JULY 1,
1974 OF WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORPORATION FOR
ITEMS 1,3 & 5 OF PROPOSAL, AT AN ESTIMATED COST
OF $14,914.70; AND GENERAL ELECTRIC SUPPLY CO.
FOR ITEM 4 OF PROPOSAL, AT AN ESTIMATED COST OF
$2,548; FOR F'URNISHING AND DELIVERING OF NEW
FIELD LIGHTS FOR THE ORANGE BOWL STADIUM;
AUTHORIZING THE WORK TO BE ACCOMPLISHED BY CITY
FORCES; AND DIRECTING THAT A PURCHASE ORDER BE
ISSUED THEREFOR
WHEREAS, bids were received July 1, 1974 for the
furnishing and delivering of NEW FIELD LIGHTS FOR THE ORANGE
BOWL STADIUM; and
WHEREAS, funds to cover the cost of this and other work
were appropriated by Ordinance No. adopted July 11, 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of
Westinghouse Electric Corp. for Items 1,3, & 5 of Proposal; and
the bid of General Electric Supply Co. for Item 4 of Proposal, was
the lowest bid and recommends that said bid be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid of Westinghouse Electric
Corporation for Items 1,3, & 5 of Proposal, in the estimated amount
of $14:914.70; and the bid of General Electric Supply Co. for
Item 4 of Proposal, in the estimated amount of $2,548, for furnish-
ing and delivering NEW FIELD LIGHTS FOR THE ORANGE BOWL STADIUM be,
and the same is hereby, accepted at the price stated therein.
Section 2. That the proper officials of The City of
Miami be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to issue a
purchase order for the abovementioned NEW FIELD LIGHTS FOR THE
ORANGE BOWL STADIUM.
Section 3. That City Forces be, and they are hereby,
authorized and directed to make the necessary installations.
