WHEREAS, KAREN McKENSIE, a minor, by and through her father and next friend, Melvin McKensie, filed a claim against the City of Miami for damage incurred in the amount of $350.00, allegedly due to bodily injury received when she tripped upon the stub of a broken traffic signpost protruding from the City side- walk at or near-N.W. 2nd Ave., between N.W. 9th and loth Streets, in the City of Miami, on or about October 20, 1973, and WHEREAS, this claim has been investigated by the office of the City Attorney and said office recommends that this claim be settled for the sum of $350.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby authorized to pay to KAREN McKENSIE and her father, Melvin McKensie, without the admission of liability, the sum of $350.00 in full and complete settlement of all claims and demands against the City of Miami, upon the execution of a release releasing the City of Miami from all claims and demands.
