A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
TO ENTER INTO AN AMENDMENT TO THE
CONTRACT FOR POLICE PSYCHIATRIC
CONSULTANT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI AND ARNOLD L. LIEBER, EXTENDING
THE EXPIRATION DATE OF THE CONTRACT
FROM JUNE 30, 1974 TO SEPTEMBER 30,
1974; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY FUNDS
FROM UNFILLED STANFORD RESEARCH INSTI-
TUTE POSITIONS PRESENTLY IN THE POLICE
OPERATING BUDGET.
WHEREAS, under Discretionary Grant No. 73-DF-04-0008,
the"Contract for Psychiatric Consultant" for the Police Depart-
ment expires on June 30, 1974; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Lieber's services are required by the
Police Department until September 30, 1974; and
WHEREAS, the fonds necessary to pay for the required
services are available from unfilled Stanford Research Institute
positions presently in the Police Operating Budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager of the City of Miami is
hereby authorized and directed to enter into an amendment to
the "Contract for Police Psychiatric Consultant" by and between
the City of Miami and Arnold L. Lieber, extending the expiration
date of the Contract from June 30, 1974 to September 30, 1974.

Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami
are hereby authorized and directed to provide the necessary
funds from unfilled Stanford Research Institute positions presently
in the Police Operating Budget.
