RESOLUTION NO,
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI SUPPORTING TitE SPECIAL COMMITTEE
OP GOVERNMENTAL REPRESENTATIVES AND LANMN' S
CONCERN ABUT THE CLOSING OF THE I-95 EXPRESS-
WAY, 54TH STREET EXIT AND EGRESS, WITHOUT A
PROPER SUBSTITUTE LOCATION FOR INGRESS AND
EGRESS IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA.
WHEREAS, the closing of this exit will invoke a
hardship on the residents of the Model Cities and surround-
ing area; and
WHEREAS, no substitute location for ingress and egress
in the immediate area has yet been proposed by the State De-
partment of Transportation;
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami
shares in the concern of the residents of the Model Cities
and surrounding area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Commission of the City of Miami hereby
supports the Special Committee of Governmental Representatives
and Laymen's concern about the closing of the 1-95 Expressway,
54th Street exit and egress, without a proper substitute lo-
cation for ingress and egress in the imm is a arga.
