A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID OF MARKS BROTHERS
CO, (NOT INC.) IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OU $4,169
FOR THE ROBERTO CLE4ENTE PARK - RESURFACING
BASKETBALL COURTS-1974; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF
$4,169 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "CAPITAL IMPROVE-
MENT FUND UNALLOCATED FUNDS" TO COVER THE
ESTIMA'i'ED CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID
ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $417 TO COVER THE COST OF
PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE
AMOUNT OF $166 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS
ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES, POSTAGE, ETC.;
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received June 24, 1974 for the
ROBTO CLEMENTE PARK - RESURFACING BASKETBALL COURTS - 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $4,169 bid of
Marks Brothers Co., (Not Inc.) is the only bid and it is acceptable and
recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm.
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the account
entitled "Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated Funds" for the estimated
amount of the Contract, for Project Expense; and for such items as Advertis-
ing, Testing Laboratories, Postage, etc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI , FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the June 24, 1974 bid of Marks Brothers Co.,(Not Inc.)
in the estimated amount of $4,169 for the project entitled ROBERTO CLEITE
PARK - RESURFACING BASKETBALL COURTS - 1974 , namely Rase Bid of Proposal,
based on lump sum bid be, and the same is hereby accepted at the price stated
therein.
Section 2. That the $4,169 be, and it is hereby, allocated from
the account entitled "Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated Funds" to cover
the estimated cost of the Contract.
Section 3. That the amount of $417 be, and it is hereby, allocated
from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of Project Expense which
includes engineering, surveys and inspection work performed by City Forces.
Section 4. That the amount of $166 be, and it is hereby, allocated
from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of such items as Advertising,
Testing Laboratories, Postage, etc.
Section 5. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to enter into a Contract on behalf of The City of Miami with Marks Brothers
Co. (Not Inc.) for the ROBERTO CLEMENTE PARK - RESURFACING BASKET-
BALL COURTS - 1974.
