A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
PURCHASE 800 COPIES OF ttTHE LAW OFFICERS POCKET
MANUAL" AT A TOTAL COST OF $2, 200 FROM THE
BUREAU OF NATIONAL AFFAIRS, INC. , WASHINGTON,
D. C. ; AND WAIVING THE NORMAL FORMAL BIDDING
PROCEDURES DUE TO THE SINGLE SOURCE OF
AVAILABILITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami "STOP" Burglary Grant authorizes
the purchase of 800 booklets entitled "The Law Officers Pocket Manual" 1974
Edition; and
WHEREAS, this compact manual will be carried by City of Miami
Police Officers for ready reference; and
WHEREAS, procurement of this Manual is available only through
"The Criminal Law Reporter", Bureau of National Affairs, Inc., Washington,
D. C.•
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase
800 copies of "The Law Officers Pocket Manual" at a total cost of $2, 200 from
the Bureau of National Affairs, Inc. , Washington, D. C.
Section 2. That the normal, formal bidding procedures are hereby
waived due to the single source of availability.
