A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED
JUNE 25, 1974 FROM BELL & HOWELL COMMUNICATIONS
COMPANY FOR FURNISHING TWO (2) F. M. RECEIVER/
RECORDER KITS AND ACCESSORY EQUIPMENT FOR USE
BY THE MIAMI POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING
DIVISION TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THE
TOTAL COST OF $3,360.00, FUNDS BEING PROVIDED
FOR THIS PURPOSE IN FEDERAL FENCING GRANT
NO. 72-21-04.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids
were received on June 25, 1974 by the City Manager and the City
Clerk for furnishing two (2) F. M. Receiver/Recorder Kits and
Accessory Equipment for use by the Miami Police Department; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to eleven (11)
potential suppliers and three (3) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of
Bell & Howell Communications Company be accepted for the total
amount of $3,360.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received June 25, 1974 from
Bell & Howell Communications Company for furnishing two (2) F. M.
Receiver/Recorder Kits and Accessory Equipment, at a total cost
of $3,360.00, for use by the Miami Police Department, is hereby
accepted on the basis that the bid is most advantageous to the city.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
instruct the Purchasing Division to issue a purchase order for
same, funds being provided for this purpose in Federal Fencing
