TRACKING DEVICES AND ALLIED EQUIPMENT FOR USE BY THE S.T.O.P. BURGLARY SECTION OF THE MIAMI POLICE DEPARTMENT AT A TOTAL COST OF $16,545.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR SAME, FUNDS BEING PROVIDED FOR THIS PURPOSE IN FEDERAL FENCING GRANT NO. 72-21-04. WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received on June 24, 1974 for furnishing the R.D.F. Tracking Devices and Allied Equipment for use by the S.T.O.P. Burglary Section of the Miami Police Department; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to fifteen (15) potential suppliers and two (2) bids were received; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of Wackenhut Electronics, Inc. be accepted at a total cost of $16,545.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The bid received June 24, 1974 from Wackenhut Electronics, Inc. for furnishing the R.D.F. Tracking Devices and Allied Equipment for use by the S.T.O.P. Burglary Section of the Miami Police Department is hereby accepted at a total cost of $16,545.00 on the basis that the bid is most advantageous to the City. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Division to issue a purchase order for same, funds being provided for this purpose in Federal Fencing "DOCUMENT IND 0%- ITEM NO. tg _ ,3029197 Grant No. 72.21=04.
