HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-74-0560Mete!, 6 1944 111 Mir MA AC 4lAtifl '74juN 2N 44 leptituTioN No._ "4 0 A RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO SMITH & WESSON/ GOEC FOR FURNISHING ONE (1) NI CHT VISION SCOPE WITH HIGH PERFORMANCE RELAY LENS FOR USE HY THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE AT A TOTAL COST OF $5,562.20; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR SAME, AFTER FIRST HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received January 29, 1974 for one (1) Night Vision Scope for use by the Department of Police; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to thirteen (13) potential suppliers and three (3) bids were received; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of Smith & Wesson/Goec be accepted at a total cost of $5,562.20; and WHEREAS, this is the lowest bid meeting the specifications and is therefore the best acceptable bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The bid received January 29, 1974 from Smith & Wesson/Goec for one (1) Night Vision Scope with high performance relay lens for use by the Department of Police is accepted at a total cost of $5,562.20. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Division to issue a purchase order for same, after first having determined that funds budgeted for this purpose are available.
